About

Our mission is to provide the most realistic phantoms for medical imaging, deeply inspired by our belief that medical imaging technologies, radiation exposure, diagnostic safety and artificial intelligence should be validated for optimal patient care prior to examining patients. Our technologies are based on a decade of research, development and engineering with German know-how and worldwide partnerships, and our products combine clinical know-how, scientific expertise, and technological excellence.

PhantomX emerged from research at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin, with which we continue to maintain a strong partnership alongside major partners and customers from the medical industry, medical facilities, research entities, educational institutions, and regulatory bodies. Our history was shaped by the development of phantoms guided by our deep understanding of clinical imaging and advances in diagnostic technologies, and we continuously explore new ways to control and enhance radiation exposure and diagnostic safety for optimal patient care.

3D printing of realistic MRI phantoms

In partnership with Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, PhantomX GmbH is developing and validating a novel hydrogel-based 3D printing system to produce realistic MRI phantoms. The initiative paves the way for advancements in validating and enhancing MR imaging as well as diagnostic applications such as radiomics and artificial intelligence.

The project is co-funded by the European Union.
